Today Steph and I adopted a little girl Boston Terrier. I got a call from Steph while I was at work about some kids who had been given a Boston today by a person who couldn’t keep it and the kids parents wouldn’t let them have it either, (it’s siblings had already been put down). Steph wanted to adopt it really bad. After work I went over to check it out while 10 kids were there trying to make me a believer too (I felt like I was at a used car dealership) After saying I’d think about it, about 2 minutes down the road I told Steph that if she really wanted the pup then I’d be ok with that. We’ll I’m sitting here tonight as Buster and his little sister Dulce (sweet in spanish) are laying next to each other asleep. It’ll take some work, this is my first experience with a puppy so there could be some challenges but I’m sure it’ll all be worth it and it’ll be cool having a little addition to the family.
So on Thursday Buster went into where I work to get surgery done on his back left knee. It was to fix his luxating patella. It went really well. I was able to watch the whole surgery. It was very interesting to actually see his knee and see the problem. It makes you feel so much more confident it what was done. While Buster was in the recovery are I was able to stay with him. I can not believe this but I sat there for 3 hours with him after his surgery. He came home and slept the night away. Today I took him to work with me thinking there might be something wrong because he will not try to even walk. The second I had him in the office he walked around just fine, even putting preasure on his leg that go surgery on it. So he is recouperating fine and being babied.
On another note last week we spent the week with my family in Florida. It was really nice. We spent most of the time chilling with them and relaxing. We took Max back down to my dad to live with him and my mom. We were going to do it for a temporary time, but my dad asked if he could have him back so we agreed. It is a little lonely in the house with out Maxtard. It is nice though because he will not be stepping on Buster while he is recovering. We did have a chance to go to South Beach, Miami and spend a day. It was amazing. The weather was perfect. Then on another day my mom and I got to spend a day at Epcot together. I love spending time with her there. It is one of our traditions to go, relax and enjoy Epcot together once a year.I can not wait to see them again.
For now I am babying Buster and living one day at a time……. <wow that sounded deep >
On Saturday we said goodbye to Michaelangelo. He suffered a heart attack. Even though I made a lot of jokes about him, I was sad to see him go. Now that leaves us with 2 dogs, 1 cat and 4 fish. Here’s a pic of him below.
Well I have a couple of things to tell. First of all last Friday I believe we received snow here in Knoxville. I was at work when morning came so I didn’t get to see it at my house. But Justin took some pictures for you and I to look at. I actually could not believe we even got that much snow.
Then yesterday at work I took Justin in to see the different animals and where I work. So last night I brought home little Buster. No he is not our pet. I brought him home for two days because he needs a home and has been in the vets office so long he is getting depressed. So Justin and I are saying this is Buster’s vacation. He is a good little guy. Last night he slept with us and didn’t wake until morning. But that’s all for now.
So last night I come home from the meeting to find Kiora (our hamster) very still and barely breathing. I figured she must be dying and waited till morning to take her to the vet. So today I took her to the vet and they put her to sleep. I cried a little bit because even though she was so small and around for only two years it still was a little animal that died. So in this post is in memory of KIORA.
Well we havent been up to much, but a couple weeks ago we did get a chance to go on a nice quiet hike in the Smokies. I was not able to post the pictures sooner, so here they are now. We also put a new video up of Max. Nothing to great, but I want my parents to see what he was up to lately. Hope you guys like it.
Yes they do fix rabbits. I felt really weird taking him to get fixed because there were all these other dogs and cats there to get fixed and Michelangelo was the only rabbit. I felt kinda stupid. But I dropped him off and later on Justin picked him up from the vets office. He is doing well just a little tired. But he is back to his happy go lucky self already. Well thats about all that is going on right now.
