So this weekend we took up the task of finishing our fence around our backyard. On Saturday after service a couple of our really good friends came over and helped us. They dug holes for the posts and put them up with concrete in them. It was really hard work and most of the holes the guys had to chip through rock. It was really hard work. Then on Sunday morning at 7 they came over again and I made them breakfast. Then they got straight to work putting the rest of the fence up. They finished around 12 and we were able to make the meeting. We were really surprised we got it done so fast. We really want to thank our friends who helped and the ones who loaned us their equipment. The fence looks awesome and the dogs love to be outside. Buster already has figured out the best path to get the most straight running in the fenced in area. We are both glad to have it all done.
These past 2 days have been pretty busy for us. Yesterday after service, Steph and I went to the Smokies. We wanted to ride bike’s at first but her brakes have been acting up so we decided we would do it on foot. We ended up going to Cades Cove and walking the loop. The loop is 11 miles so we were pretty tired afterwards. We also got a lot of support from people driving bye who couldn’t believe that we walked the whole thing. Steph took a few pictures that were pretty good.
Today was also a lot of fun with our company picnic being this morning. Our company picnic was at the Knoxville Zoo which we’ve been wanting to go to anyway. There were a lot of animals and we were able to get good views of them all. Even though it’s a smaller zoo the experience is still great. So Stephanie has been wanting a sewing machine for a while and we haven’t bought one yet. We thought (well mostly me) that it would be fun to put a poll online to see what our friends and family thought. Please let your voice be heard by voting below. Thought I’d take a second to write something on here since its been a while since the last post. Things are good, we are both keeping very busy but still taking some time out to relax when possible. This past weekend we got to spend some time with our friends here, it’s been a while with people traveling including us. Yesterday we went on a pretty long bike ride even though we only planned on doing something short. In Knoxville they have “Greenways” which are parks, bike paths etc and there happens to be one close to our house. It was a beautiful day for it and I’m sure we’ll be doing it more now that the weather is nice.
