Ohio State Spring Game

Wow I can’t believe it took me nearly a week to post this but I guess its better later than never. Last Friday Steph and I decided to head to Ohio to watch the spring game and visit family and friends. We had a really nice time at the game even though it was rainy. We got to visit with everyone and have a great time. I could post all the details but pictures are a lot more fun. Click the link below to check out pics from the spring game.

Special Assembly Day

Well I have to say that this was one of my favorite assemblies yet. The reason being is that I had my very first bible study student was baptized. I was so very happy to see her get baptized. Jehovah has really blessed me and I really see how happy it can make a person. I am so proud of how she has made Jehovah real to herself. Also Justin and I had the privileged of meeting Br. Jackson from the Governing Body. He was such a nice man and very funny. It’s so comforting to meet him because you realize what a nice person Jehovah has chosen to rule as “kings and priests” over us. He was very funny and what I liked about him as well was the fact that he brought out in his talks his own mistakes. It made him such a real person. He told Justin and I that his wife is suffering from cancer and that she is receiving some new treatments this week. So keep her in our prayers because he made a great sacrifice coming to encourage us at the assembly when he is going through such a hard time. Justin and I really had such a great time at the assembly. There was a really good point that Br. Jackson gave in one of his talks. He said sometimes we may not agree with what the elders do or may not understand it completely. But always remember they have our best interests at heart. The illustration goes like this. There was a farmer who spent all day watching this bird build his nest. The bird went back and forth building its nest. At the end of the day the farmer knocked it down. Then the next day the bird started a new nest in the same spot again and built it all day long. Again the farmer went and knocked it down. Now at this point we think what a mean person. Now on the third day the bird started building its nest in a safer place high in the tree. The farmer looked on and was happy. In fact he loved birds and now the bird had built its nest in a safe place where its babies would survive. I loved that illustration.
Lovely!!!

Bought a RC Helicopter

I’ve been wanting to get a remote controlled helicopter on and off for a while so yesterday I went and bought one. It’s pretty sweet and if I continue to use it maybe I’ll upgrade to a better one later on. Here’s what it looks like below:
