Photos from Disney Marathon

Here’s a link to my photos from the Disney Marathon. I was definitely struggling in some of those pictures. :)

(I would like to add it took us 30 min just to get across the line once the race started because of the amount of people so ignore the time that you see on the clock. That wasn’t my official time.)

Busy Week… Calm Weekend?

It’s been a pretty busy week for Steph and I. Between Work, Meetings, and Service we don’t have a whole lot of time for much else. With Steph having an extremely busy schedule I thought I’d help out this past Wednesday with dinner. Since I work on one of the largest food websites out there I figured I’d try and find a recipe and cook something for us to give her a break. I found a recipe which turned out awesome after I finally was able to track down all the ingredients for it. The name of the recipe was called “Honey-Jalapeno Chicken with Sesame Soba Noodles“. It turned out real nice and we had enough left over for last night as well. With all that being said we don’t have a lot going on this weekend other than our CO visit so that should give us some time to relax, and with the weather looking the way it is, maybe catch up on some extra sleep. :)

New Part-Time Job

So as you can see I have finally got a part-time job. I was too bored at home doing nothing during the time I was off from service, so I decided to get a job at a place where I would be happy to work. So a couple weeks ago I applied at Bluegrass Animal Hospital. Last Friday I was accepted. They said they are going to start training me as a receptionist and then on to vet-tech. I am really happy and so far have worked two days this week. The girls I work with are really nice and have helped me a lot in getting to know how to work everything. I really like this job because I am around animals all day long.

Sad Day At The Davy’s

So last night I come home from the meeting to find Kiora (our hamster) very still and barely breathing. I figured she must be dying and waited till morning to take her to the vet. So today I took her to the vet and they put her to sleep. I cried a little bit because even though she was so small and around for only two years it still was a little animal that died. So in this post is in memory of KIORA.
