Weekend at the Cabin

So this past weekend/week Justin and I went to my parents cabin in North Carolina. We left on Saturday after service with our dog Max and our rabbit Michelangelo accompanying us. One of the days we were there, Justin and I looked out the window and saw a black lab puppy and a blood hound sitting out in front of our gate. So we let them in and let them play with Max. After awhile I took the dogs out and was about to walk away when the little puppy wiggles his way thru the gate to play with Max. So we let them back in to play until they were tired. Then we went snowboarding and bought Justin some new bindings and boots. It didn’t really snow to much until this morning when we were leaving. (Like it always does when you are leaving.) On the slopes they were making snow and it started to get really icy. I hate when that happens because when you fall it really hurts. Yesterday all the stores were closed so we didn’t really know what to do. But we went to go see what Beech Mountain looked like. It was ok, but it didn’t really seem like that great of a mountain to go down. So we didn’t try it. Instead we went to the Pizza joint across from it and watched people fall down the mountain. It was quite amusing. Today we came home and are getting back into the swing of life.

Meadowbrook, VA Remodel

So this past weekend Justin and I had the privilege to help on a remodel in Meadowbrook, VA. It was a lot of fun because it was our first quick build since being in TN. We are now on the tile crew up here in Knoxville. Our next job in in January sometime and I cant wait for the next one. Here is a little bit of video we took at the remodel.

This past week in Chicago

For the last 5 days I have been in Chicago and just got back last night. This was my first time there and I had a nice time even though it would have been even more fun if Steph were there. I went up for work but had time in the evenings to venture around the city for a few hours. On Sunday when I flew in, I hoped to go on the Sears Tower but it was rainy and foggy so that didn’t pan out. I decided to walk around the city instead (while it was raining) and explore. I ended up spending an hour or so down at Soldier Field where the Chicago Bears play, it was game day. I was able to get some decent pictures and others didn’t turn out so well but their on Flickr if your curious.
