Going Home Friday

Not a lot to post tonight but I had to move my trip up a week so I’ll be going back home this friday and staying for 10 days. It’ll be nice to see my family and friends again. I don’t know what all i’ll do but i’ll get to see some of my buds that I haven’t seen for a long long time and i’m really excited for that.

The Latest Not Greatest (but close)

So it seems that Monday evening has become my annual update the site night. Life has been going nice lately and time seems to be moving really fast. Things are really busy at work right now but we are doing some amazing things and I think we’ll get a lot of national exposure with some of the things we have in the works. I feel fortunate to have such a good team and only good will come from that.

Jumping into my personal life a bit….. I was able to see what direction I wanted to take my life in a bit more this weekend. I’ve had a really clear head lately and its really helped me to make good decisions. This weekend I got to hang out with a lot of people, watch the Buckeyes beat Michigan which was amazing and hang out with some friends that I haven’t got to spend a lot of time with lately.

I’m supposed to be going back home for a while in December but with work and the big projects that I am involved with it could make things tough. Its hard because there’s a lot of people who are involved with this trip, not just me. So whatever happens with work etc…. affects them too. I guess only time will tell.

Oh and I should have a post before next monday. Some fun things are coming up soon. icon_wink

New Outlook

These past few weeks have really helped me realize why I moved here and made me feel good about the decision to do so. I’ve had times where I’ve second guessed myself recently and wondered if I should have ever made this move in the first place. But finally I’ve started thinking logically and really opened my mind up to new adventures and options. I try not to get to personal on here because its public to everyone but this is one of those few times where I feel good about expressing myself. I guess it just takes a while to get acclimated to a new place….. starting over with friends, job, congregation etc can be tough but i’m finally getting there.

I’m at the point where I see who my true friends are, who I have things in common with and the direction that I want to take my life. I mean in life its never easy and there are bumps along the way which I’ve become accustomed to but I’ve learned to take each problem at a time and just work my way through things without feeling overwhelmed. I’ve met a lot of great new friends lately and I think as I spend more time with them we’ll only become closer, create memories and have good times.

This past weekend I had a group over to the house and we watched a movie and ate pizza. It was a simple night but it was fun and it felt nice to relax after a long week of work. Saturday a few people from here and then others from Palm City and West Palm joined up and we went out to a nice restaurant in West Palm. Sunday a friend of mine and I went to the Air Show here which was really cool and I had VIP tickets so that mean free food and drink. So it was a pretty busy weekend but also gave me time to relax. No complaints here. icon_razz

Friends and Fun

Ahh the good ol weekend recap… I haven’t done one of these for a while. Friday night was supposed to be a fishing trip but that didn’t happen so instead Justin and I ate some grub at the water and then went back to my place to catch a movie.

Saturday we had our 1 day assembly which was nice. Got to see some friends I hadn’t seen for a while and meet some new ones. The a big group of us went out to eat afterwards which was nice.

Sunday after sleeping in began the cleaning of my place for the party to ensue that evening. I had bought a grill the week before but didn’t get a chance to use it so I planned a BBQ and Poker Night. After a slow start with the grill it finally decided to cooperate and the night was a lot of fun. I think around 16 or so people was able to fit in my small place. We ate, played cards, watched movies, skateboarded, and played music. So thats the latest, hopefully we can do it again and I’ve made some cool new friends.

It is foolish to pretend that one is fully recovered from a disappointed passion. Such wounds always leave a scar. — Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
